Summer may be winding down, but the excitement is just heating up at Fish Creek United Church! We’re thrilled to invite you to Welcome Back Sunday on September 7. It’s a special day to reconnect, celebrate, and start the new season together.
This isn’t just any Sunday—it’s our first service back after the summer! It’s also Communion Sunday, giving us a beautiful opportunity to gather around the table and remember the heart of our faith. Whether you’ve spent the summer traveling, relaxing, or exploring, this service is a chance to come together and renew your spirit.
One of the highlights of the morning is our annual Blessing of the Backpacks. Bring your backpack, briefcase, or even your laptop bag—whatever you carry through your daily journey—and receive a blessing to guide and protect you in the months ahead. It’s a meaningful tradition for students, parents, teachers, and anyone starting a new chapter.
After the service, stick around for our hot dog luncheon! (Gluten free options are available as always!) It’s a perfect chance to catch up with friends, meet new faces, and enjoy some casual fellowship over a delicious lunch. Whether you’re new to our church or a familiar face, everyone is welcome.
